Social Media Intern - Summer, 2024
Job Summary
As a Social Media Intern, you'll have the freedom to unleash your creativity and work with a diverse list of clients. You'll collaborate with our team and assist in developing the overall organic social media strategy, influencer strategy, co-brand strategy, and all of the pieces that go into implementation. This is a paid internship where you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and build your skills in a supportive, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities

Work with the team on social media strategy, from concept to completion

Design and create layouts for assigned projects

Assist with organizing and laying out social media calendars

Research social media trends
-
Hashtag research
-
Assist with building out content
-
Scheduling posts
-
Monitoring posts
-
Engage with other accounts, hashtags, etc to maximize brand reach & engagement

Reading and interpreting reporting/campaign success and recommending ways we can increase performance

Competitor research
-
Researching and bringing new ideas to the team (social media, influencer marketing, partnership marketing)

Collaborating with the team
-
Attend and present during internal and external meetings

Collaborate with other interns on a potential internal project

Perform additional tasks as assigned
Knowledge and Skillset Requirements:

Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communication, or a similar program

Availability to work 10-15 hours per week

Social media savvy: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Twitter

Strong conceptualization and brainstorming skills

Strong attention to detail

A portfolio showcasing results from managing a (personal or business) social media account

Reading and interpreting reporting/campaign success and recommending ways we can increase performance

Excellent communication and time management skills

Self-motivation and proactive thinking capabilities

Interest and eagerness to learn about trends in social media

Willingness and ability to think outside of the box

An open mind and positive attitude

Demonstrated experience with managing projects and meeting deadlines
Qualifications:

Education: Working towards or have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree (Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or similar program)

Work requirements: 10-20 hours per week (depending on internship requirements)

Hybrid. Work in the office on certain days of the week.
